The beauty of the Caribbean is unmatched, and everything from the landscape and surrounding oceans to the architecture and people of the islands is worth capturing in a photo. No matter where you are, the islands will offer a stunning bounty of opportunities for unforgettable images. Whether you’re a professional photographer or an Instagram junkie, these Caribbean photo ops won’t disappoint.

  1. Paradise Point, St. Thomas, USVI

Beautiful day or night, this spot provides a stunning view of the Charlotte Amalie harbor. With easy access via road or “Ride the View” tram, Paradise Point is a great place to enjoy a cocktail or a light bite to eat as you watch the sunset.

  2. Old San Juan, San Juan, Puerto Rico

From stone streets made from ancient blue ship ballast to the balconies peeking out from brightly colored homes, Old San Juan is a photographer’s dream. The historic forts offer beautiful views of the sea and quaint squares and plazas come alive with vendor fairs and concerts, adding to a rich Puerto Rican experience.

  3. The Handelskade Waterfront, Curacao

The iconic 16th century Dutch architecture of Curacao adds a punch of color to your Caribbean photo album. The Handelskade Waterfront in UNESCO World Heritage capital city of Willemstad is within walking distance from the cruise ship pier and is absolutely beautiful at any time of day.

  4. Snorkeling in the Tobago Cays, St. Vincent & the Grenadines

Snorkeling is a top “must-do” activity in the Caribbean. In the grassy waters of the Tobago Cays near St. Vincent and the Grenadines, sea turtles swim abundantly in a natural sanctuary. An underwater camera like a GoPro works great for fantastic action shots of sea life.

  5. The Wild Donkeys of St. John, USVI

Wildlife always provides great opportunities for making photo memories, but the wildlife on St. John is particularly memorable. Wild donkeys have inhabited the island since they were brought to work on sugar plantations in the 18th century. Found mostly in small groups, they calmly roam the roads and offer a fun way to remember this special place in the Caribbean.

  6. The Pitons, St. Lucia

Located on the beautiful southwest coast of St. Lucia, the Pitons are volcanic mountains that rise more than 2500 feet into the blue Caribbean sky. A stunning sight from land, sea, or air, these peaks even have a local beer named after them!

  7. The Bight, Norman Island, BVI

A calm and quiet bay on the northwest shore of Norman Island in the British Virgin Islands, this water is what you envision when people say “Caribbean blue.” With fun features like Pirate’s Bight restaurant and Willy T’s floating restaurant and bar, this is a great spot to spend an afternoon taking photos or just enjoying the Caribbean sun.

  8. From the air, Saba

The “Unspoiled Queen” of the Caribbean, Saba boasts one of the most stunning arrival opportunities in the region. With one of the shortest airport runways in the Caribbean, the aerial views of this lush island are absolutely breathtaking. With a rocky coastline and miles of hiking trails, you’ll find endless photo opportunities.

  9. Devil’s Bridge, Antigua

Located in a beautiful National Park, Devil’s Bridge is a natural limestone formation that is evidence of millions of years of waves crashing into the reef, forming a “bridge”. A popular theory is that Devil’s Bridge got its name because slaves would take their lives by jumping into the thrashing water below, but there isn’t much evidence to support this claim. Geysers and blowholes surround the natural arch, creating a spectacular water display as the waves continuously crash to shore.

  10. Bathsheba, Barbados

Though it may appear as alien rock formations were dropped on this beautiful beach, these large chunks of reef have actually been washed ashore over millions of years. The large reef “blocks” create a beautiful visual for photographs, adding a unique take on the typical beach scene.
