Owner and proprietress Julia Gulevych is a fashion lover and entrepreneur wanting to provide a unique and luxurious shopping experience for women on Tortola. After two and a half years in the BVI, she missed having a store that sold quality intimates and swimwear.
“My friends always ask me to help them choose clothes, and I wanted to create a truly elegant store with women’s lingerie and swimwear,” said Julia, “Now women have a place to purchase great basics along with special, sexy pieces.”
Julia designed all three levels of the store herself, and chose every detail to ensure her vision was achieved. The light wood-panelled floor is from Italy, and every shelf, clothing rack and display was painstakingly chosen to create a chic and modern vibe. When stepping into Le Boutique, the white walls create a canvas for all the colourful swimwear to shine. An architectural staircase leads to a second floor, filled with silky sleepwear and lingerie, complete with a white leather couch to lounge on near a window to either see, or be seen.
The range of intimates available at Le Boutique rivals any specialty shop found in the Caribbean with trusted brands like Wacoal, offering wardrobe necessities. Bras in every colour and a plethora of sizes mean each woman will find something she loves. Other brands like b.tempt’d provide trendier pieces with sexy details. In addition to the best basics, Le Boutique also provides French silk sleepwear and the ultra-chic Heidi Klum intimates collection. An entire bridal collection of lingerie will also appear soon on Le Boutique’s shelves.
“The shapewear collection is our best seller,” said Julia. “Women want to feel their best in any outfit, and these pieces help them achieve a smooth and polished look.”
Any island getaway isn’t complete without a fantastic swimsuit. Julia has carefully chosen pieces that reflect the laid-back Caribbean lifestyle with a flair for high-end fashion. From sophisticated two-pieces in solid colours to trendy strapless numbers in a rainbow of hues, every shopper will find their perfect piece to feel flawless and flaunt it at the beach.
The Brazilian brand Larissa Minatto offers sexy bikinis with 14k-plated details, and a variety of other high-quality swimwear brands mean shoppers will find the perfect swimsuit not seen anywhere else.
