Caribbean sunshine, sparkling seas, great racing and serious partying at this year's famous BVI Spring Regatta will be captured in glorious high-definition video for the benefit of the sailors and the global audience.
Cowes, UK-based sailing publishers and video specialists TKZ will be working with the regatta organisers to deliver daily video reports on the racing to the regatta's web site and to TKZ's own popular Cowes Online web site. The daily video reports will also be available on the Regatta's Facebook page and on TKZ's YouTube Channel.
Sailors at the regatta will also be able to enjoy the high-definition, high-octane coverage of each day's action on screens in the regatta village.
The TKZ team, who publish Cowes Online, Cowes TV, and the iZone network of high-definition screens in Cowes, (Isle of Wight, UK), will even show the daily content on TKZ's iZone screens back in Cowes' pubs.
"As well as putting the event coverage online each day, and on screens in the regatta village, we're going to show sailors back in Cowes just what they're missing – sun, breeze, and glorious racing," said Steve Sleight, TKZ's managing editor. "When they're sitting in the pub seeing the action in the BVIs they'll either lynch us when we return or make sure not to miss this great regatta in 2010!"
Steve went on to say, "I've raced in the Spring Regatta once before and although on this trip we won't have time to sail, the team is really looking forward to filming the action, which will look stunning in HD."
Daily online video reports will be available on the regatta web site www.bvispringregatta.com and on Cowes Online www.cowes.co.uk .
