The weather forecast is looking great for this weekend 13/14 June and Annual Quantum International IC24 Regatta which is also known as the Worlds, sponsored by Quantum Sails and held by the Royal BVI Yacht Club.

Last year in big winds Puerto Ricans Fraito Lugo and Jose Santiago took first and second place with the youngest helm BVI sailor Alec Anderson taking third place. This year BVI sailors are aiming for first place. Alec Anderson has been training hard but Colin Rathbun team recently went to Texas to get some international competition, but previous podium finishers Robbie Hirst, Andrew Watters and Chris Haycraft are looking to reclaim titles. Youth team BVI helmed by Dontae Hodge will be using the worlds to practice for the upcoming Premiers cup regatta. Racing will take place from Nanny Cay on Saturday and Sunday with prize giving on Sunday afternoon. Sailing can be seen from the Nanny Cay beach.
