Tuesday 12 JunePenny Haycraft’s Slide Show of old Tortola with Cindy’s membership special – New members may sign up for a pro-rated price. Just $65 for under 30’s, $100 for a personal or $150 for a family for 6 months membership with next years membership due on the 1 January. The member that introduces the most new members on the evening gets a special prize from Cindy. Overseas members who can’t be there on the night can enter by sending their friends details to [email protected]

The Royal Navy is coming 7-11 June and is hopefully helping us for a day on the Friday or Saturday. If you would like to join in with some bush clearing, building or just making sure the coolers are topped up please let Simon or I know.

Saturday 23 JuneOlympic Day Run – We need runners and helpers as the RBVIYC as the National Authority for Sailing is responsible for recording so we need all our members to come and help out. It is all about fun and promoting Olympism. Free T-shirts to all that help and run.

Saturday 23 June – End of Season CREW PARTY – Pirates, Prostitutes and Pimps – DJ Jamie G will be on the decks. 7.30pm. Free to members in Fancy Dress, $5 to those not, $10 for the landlubbers that haven’t joined yet! Drink Specials, Prizes and Give Away’s!

Sunday 24 June – Financial Service Challenge at Nanny Cay – If you can help out on shore with the bar and lunch please let me know.

22-24 June Scotiabank Optimist Regatta – St Thomas. HUGE BVI team going. If you can help with boat transport, $$$ or accommodation please let me know.

July and August – Sailing Camp – Sign your child up now.

Adult lessons at the weekends in IC24’s – sign up now.

Optimist naming ceremony soon – but we still have 31/2 boat that need sponsors. Just $2500 for a whole boat! So far the following have kindly donated an Optimist:
